I just came back from my bobfriends best friend's wedding. Wow, we’ve entered the fourth wedding this year. That’s amount of wedding to enter in a year, and in December there is still another one coming, can you believe it? Well, I can’t imagine, but it really come true, of cause my friends are much bigger than my age because my boyfriend is older than me. I heard from my grandmother that next year is not a good year to be marring, because it a bad year, I don’t know why, maybe it’s the Chinese tradition, I don’t know but I’m sure that’s the reason that everyone is getting married in this year. You know what, I never thought of getting married, but I have dream of taking the wedding photo with the nice white dress, because it’s so beautiful. I’ve been helping he wedding company to shoot the wedding photo of the wedding dress and stuff, it’s quite fun but it’s kind of tiring.

1. What do you think of animal testing on cosmetics? Does it matter to you what kind of animals are used (whether it’s mice, rabbits, dogs, primates, ect?). Remember that without animal testing, cosmetics may end up much more expensive and possibly have greater risk to humans.

Like I said in the front, sacrificing and nature selection, what would be like if there is no cosmetics? It’s the same question as medical testing, and my answer are the same. But about what kinds of animals to use, I would say, depends on who are the weakest. I’m sure that most lab use mice and rabbit most, I think because it’s the weakest of all animals. You can’t catch a lion easily and I’m sure you can’t control it. In the lab, the use the weakest animal and the easiest controlling animals to be scarify.

1. It’s quite easy to get an emotional response out of people when we talk about how animals are treated. This is also true of animal testing for medical research. However, many would say that animal testing has led to many medical breakthroughs that have dramatically reduced human suffering around the world. After reading the two articles above, what do you think about medical testing? Is it justified and necessary?

I think it is necessary of doing medical testing, and it might be justified. You see if there is no medical testing, would you want to eat a medicine that hasn’t been test, and you don’t know if it would cure your pain or make it worse. Some people would say it’s very cruel to use animal for medical testing, but what else can they use for medical testing? Would it be better not to have any medical research or testing? Some people say that God made us, he give us life and he chose the time of death for everyone, he choose who born in rich who born in poor, everything is under his control, is it true? If is, then what would be the meaning of life? Doing nothing waiting for death? I don’t think agree with it, people work hard everyday for surviving. People work together on different project in order to help each other to live in better lives; someone has to sacrifice and it defiantly won’t be human beings. According to Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution “natural selection”, survival of fittest, you might think that I’m a cold blooded person, but that’s nature, that’s life. The theory of evolution, not only describe the animals but human too, we all belong to the nature. Some people might think that medical testing are only used in animals which is wrong, it also used in human beings. Some poor people sacrifice themselves as a volunteer of the medical testing in order to make money to survive. Some people think they deserved it, because they get money and they can say no to it. To the poor people, they might want to say no but because of the environments that force to make them say yes, isn’t it curled too? Some people only felt shame for the animals but they haven’t thought of some of their own kinds are suffering too. Animals, might don’t have the ability to tell human that they don’t want to be tested as an experimental article, but if they were born well like the rich people, they might be the happy animal who lives in forest, but what can you say, that’s destiny (life). Honesty, I do agree with the medical testing, with out sacrificing where do we (not only human but also animals) get a better life and better medical treatment? It might be curl, but that’s what you called life- natural selection.

Well, I think the environmentalists are heroes not only because I don’t like the Japanese but also hunting whales are against the international law because whales are protected animals, hunting them could extinct the species of whales. Besides, the Japanese they hunted the whale at Antarctica, it’s not there sea area of cause they don’t have the right to hunt there. The environmentalist has the right to scare the whale way, and they have the right to protect the whales, there is no reason for the hunter to be anger of them. Let’s say if someone wants to kill someone you love and you know it, would you use every kind of ways to protect the one you love? Of cause you would, unless you are a cold blooded person, then I won’t be sure for your answer, but to most of the people would use every kind of ideas to protect their lovers. It’s the same as the environmentalist, they just love the environment too much, they want to protect the rare animals of cause, and they won’t let the hunters to hunt the whales.

To me, I really don’t know how to defense the environment and preventing the extinction of species, but I know that violence can’t stop this situation and I am sure that it will get worse if the environmentalist and the hunter haven’t found a way to negotiate. I really don’t think that hunting protected animals are right, there must be some reasons for why it is protected, might because it is hard to breed, if it’s this reason, then we probably won’t see any whales any more. Can you imagine that going on a trip on ship over the ocean and you can’t see any killer whales or other whales or dolphins (I have heard that hunters are killing dolphins too) jumping out of the sea surface, that would be a tragedy for human being. But what can we do? Before the best way comes out, it would be the best way to keep it as what they were doing now, that’s the only way to keep the whales safer now.

law in animal rights

1. What is your response to this law? Is the penalty sufficient, too strict, or too lenient? Do you think this law is enforced or is it just for show? (in other words, how often do police investigate animal cruelty crimes?). Do you have any specific suggestions for how the system could be improved? (200 word minimum)

I don’t know, it’s not too strict or too lenient. But it makes feel strange is that, what kind of animals are pets? It’s said that “The amendment clarifies the ban on killing "pets" for meat or fur by specifying dogs and cats as pets.” what if I have a chicken as a pet and when it grew up I want to make it as my meal? Have I obeyed the law? If I have what about the people who kill the chicken and sell it? It’s my pet, could it count as killing pets for meal? To me these laws are just trying to make the animal lover to feel better, yes, it’s seems to be a show to me. If you really love animals then why do you still eat them? It’s not only dogs and cats are animals, pigs, chicken, lamb, cows… they are animals too. I just think those people who said they are animal lovers are just too artificial. Fighting for animal rights? Bull shit! If you are a vegetarian, and you think eating animal are too cruel then I do believe that you really love animals. Some people say that, dogs is man’s best friend, I think if you have any animal with you and take good care of them from small to big, I’m sure every animal will be your best friend. I think to improve this law better improve the peoples mind first, instead of give a law that so complicated but to teach people to be responsible for their own pets, for example, if they want to have a pet then treat it as a part of their family members, don’t just leave it on the road or something. This law, I think it’s only been use for those sick people who kill animals for fun, or those who haven’t got any responsibility.

My computer has been dead for a week, that’s why I can’t get on line to do my homework, and the worst is that there are so many exams came up this week. Oh, God help me!

My mom’s birthday is coming on Friday, my brother and I are planning to take my mom out to dinner, but when we ask my mom what to eat for dinner, she said she want to go to (瑞華) restaurant, so we made a reservation for it. When I call the restaurant to make the reservation and I ask what was the price, it’s about NT 1000~3000 for a person. Oh my god, I called my brother and told him about it, we really don’t have the money to afford such an expensive meal, but it’s my mom’s birthday and she said she want to go there, what can we say? Say no? I don’t think so, she will be pist-off. Luckily, we found a sponsor, that will be our dad, he pay for the meal. Thank God I have a wonderful dad, who rescued us on our mom’s birthday! punishment of cheating

What do you think should be the punishment for students who cheat in this class? It’s possible that some students who have cheated in class may not have really thought about what they were doing and now regret it. Should they be allowed a second chance to “fix” their mistakes? If so, what can they do to fix their earlier mistakes?

I’m sure that cheating should be punished, because other people do work hard on their works and spent times thinking and write down the works, it is unfair for those who works really hard, but I’m sure cheaters do have some reason to cheat, it is also a kindness of giving them another chance to change , since people are not saint, we make mistakes, why not just give them another chance? There’s the problem, there are so many kinds of cheating, for example,

Doing a writing assignment for one class and then turning it in for two, three, or even more classes because you are too busy to do another writing assignment. And asking someone else to write a few paragraphs of your paper for you—but you still do most of it.

Might not all of the student think these are cheating, what is the standard of cheating? I think it depends on what kind of cheating and give the punishment. If it’s coping people’s work then might they have to give a bigger punishment, like write more homework or do something to make up with it, but if it’s t like the examples I really don’t think it’s necessary to make any punishment, probably just ask them not to do it next time.
